OSTEOPATHIC COLLEGE
OF ONTARIO
The Osteopathic College of Ontario (OCO) was founded by Steven Sanet, D.O. as an alternative for those suffering from pain and illness within the current health system, and as an educational center devoted to teaching gentle, osteopathic techniques that allow the body to heal itself. Having realized the power of well-applied manipulation and its positive effect on the body's own healing mechanisms, Dr. Sanet is committed to bringing to other practitioners quality osteopathic education. By training practitioners to utilize proper osteopathic techniques, philosophy, and enhanced palpatory skills, Dr. Sanet hopes that his contribution to osteopathic education may help a greater number of people experience the healing benefits of osteopathy.
As part of the curriculum in the osteopathic coursework taught through
OCO, Dr. Sanet ensures that all courses are grounded with a proper regard to human anatomy, physiology and biomechanics. By starting with an appropriate knowledge of the musculoskeletal system and soft tissues, practitioners are better prepared to help their patients overcome pain and illness through the art and science of osteopathy. Combining human touch with correct technique, will enable practitioners to move further down the road to becoming better healers.
Currently,
OCO welcomes all licensed practitioners from all countries into its comprehensive International Diplomate Program in Osteopathy.
OCO continues to offer osteopathic education in Canada, England, Italy, Finland, Switzerland, China, and South Korea.
